"Life and how to live it".
It's an REM song, and I like it.
It has nothing to do with my life, or yours. It just says, "I'll write a book and it will be called Life and How to Live it". I suppose we'd all write that book, and the specifics would all be different, but the subtext would be the same.
It's in essence the same P.C. bullshit that we're all the same, but all different. The same justification used by racists and sane people alike, so I guess it's universal.
My book would be short, I suppose. Simply saying "Live." is not only concise, but banal.
Yeah, but that's all there is to it. There's really not that much more. The rest would just be specifics.
Try to please, try to succeed, second-guess yourself, fall in love.. You know the drill. You've been there, or will be there. Whatever. It's the univerality of the thing. Simply saying that "to live" is our purpose may be terse, but describing what that means is purely reduntantly repetitive.
What the fuck is my point? Exactly that. There's no point to be made.
And that's the goddamn meaning of life.
